Product Description

Head Pulley is located at the discharge terminus of the conveyor. It is always called drive pulley. It provides the driving force for the conveyor.  The head pulleys will cause the belt to move toward them, while the idler pulley simply turns over and allows the belt to move. In order to increase pulley life and traction, it often has a larger diameter than other pulleys. 

To keep proper tension on the conveyor belt the pulley, which is called the take up pulley, is weighted. The bend pulleys are called that because the belt bends over them to form a loop for the take up pulley to sit in.
